What would you do with a fresh start? Write that book that has been inside of you for so long? Take more time off? Enjoy your downtime more? Learn something new? Treat your body with more compassion? Make a bold move with your career or business?  Deepen important relationships that went by the wayside? Just chill?

A fresh start is invigorating.  It implies taking all we have learned in the past and channeling that energy into something that lights us up at this moment in our life.

Yet, so many of us can get stuck in the feeling that somehow we are starting all over again.  I hear it often from clients and others.  “I don’t want to start all over again.”  “I thought I would be further along than I am.”

I was guilty of saying those things before as well.

So, how do we get past that, since our thoughts help create and frame our reality and what we perceive and sense?

  • Look back at all you have accomplished.
  • Proudly reflect and congratulate yourself on who you have become.
  • List out all the joyful experiences you have had.
  • Look at today from a lens of fresh possibility and immense potential.

Clinging to a past of how things were only programs our thoughts to that past reality.  The reframe is who have we become in this process of life to be the stunning version of who we are right now.

2023 was a doozy for a lot of people, me included.  It gave us the opportunity to come into alignment with what truly matters most to us in this season of our life.  For some, it was heartbreaking.  Others it was ego-crushing.  And some it was a smooth ride.

Last year gave us the opportunity to slow down and get clear on what our soul is so desperately wanting us to know.

Last August, I had some health symptoms that prompted my immediate attention.  I am grateful it wasn’t life-threatening.  Yet, it demanded my full attention.  It’s why I haven’t been around as much.  I was prioritizing myself, the healing of my body, and the private clients I serve.  Now…I didn’t want to pause.  Yet, it was the best thing for me.  I found I broke a lifelong pattern around what doctors always told me would happen to me.  (That will be another story at some point).  And I got crystal clear on where I’m guided to go next.

I find myself starting over again with new workout routines, even better eating patterns, more downtime. More me time.  I’m still dealing with the issue because big changes require time and integration.  Yet, I know I will be a different person when I’m completely on the other side.

2024 is one of power, mastery, magic, manifestation, vision, action, money, abundance, and making sure not to get stuck in anger, resentment, frustration or control.  We take what truly matters and lights us up from last year and bring it to this year with discernment of what actions to take.  We get to get rock solid clear about actively creating our vision for our life.

Some may feel they don’t have a vision, yet last year gave us the inkling of something on the horizon for us.

Here’s a fun exercise to do.

Play with the question: What would I do with a fresh start?
This weekend, give yourself the time to connect with your soul’s answers.  Grab a journal, set a timer for 10 minutes and write without stopping or censoring. Let go of anybody seeing it.  Don’t judge it. And let go of the “how” it will happen.  Just let it breathe.

When you finish, you will find that a piece of your 2024 soul vision is making itself known.  And you will feel lighter and more energetic.  How cool is that?

This month of February is energetically a month of new beginnings.  We all feel it.  Possibilities.  Flow. Grace. Connection.

In my next post I will share the new beginnings I’m called to step into.

Enjoy your fresh start, whatever that is for you.
