Breaking a Dream Drought

How many people tell you they don’t remember dreams? Or, worse, that they “never” dream? In contemporary society, dream drought is a widespread affliction, almost a pandemic. This is deadly serious, because night dreams are an essential corrective to the delusions of the day. In this program Robert offers five simple, practical ways to break a dream drought.
In the second half of the show Robert is joined by Minnesota dream teacher Monica Kenton to demonstrate how much fun we can have sharing dreams in the Lightning Dreamwork Game. Invented by Robert, this fast and frisky four-step process allows us to share dreams and personal stories, offer each other non-intrusive feedback and guide each other to take action to bring energy and guidance into embodied life. Monica’s dream of The Railroad Tycoon and the Sewing Machine awakens us to the possibility that in dreaming we may have access to great intellects from other times and that this dream business can be good for business in the worldly sense!

Minnesota dream teacher Monica Kenton dreamed of a railroad baron, James J. Hill, who was one of her neighbors a century ago. When she reentered her dream for fuller conversation she found that she and Hill might have gifts for each other. She was intrigued to find that he might be a member of her inner council, her personal committee of sleep in the sense that John Steinbeck wielded the phrase when he wrote that “It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.” In this lively conversation, Robert and Monica discuss the guides and guidance that become available in dreams, and demonstrate the quick, fun Lightning Dreamwork method for sharing dreams and personal stories.
