Last week I was talking about stepping into your dream and leaving the exhaustion behind. It was about stepping up in a bigger way. One of the key ways you can do that is by enlisting support.
This past week, I have seen clients (and potential ones also) receive support they were not expecting. One had their husband work with her on intentions, another noticed her significant other finally heard something she has been saying for a long time, another had someone volunteer to help her in her business, and the list goes on.
In a business, this is one of the crucial pieces that is overlooked. Support. We think that we can do it all ourselves and save a bit of money. And in the process we forget how much time it took us to do something that we were not very passionate about.
Here’s an exercise, list off some of the things that you are doing for your business that you know someone else can do for you. Then calculate how many hours it takes for you to do these things. How long would it take someone who knew what they were doing? Then decide if this is an efficient use of your time and your potential income flow. For example, say you spend 5 hours a week on your newsletter with formatting, and all of the pieces involved. Let’s assume that you earn at least $100 an hour doing what you do best. Those 5 hours you spent could have been spent with clients. That newsletter just cost you about $500. Now, what if you had an assistant that could get it done in under an hour? How would that benefit you and your business?
As you do this exercise take it to all the areas you need support. Is it with business pieces, housekeeping, cooking, doing errands. See where you can ask someone to help you out so that you have more time doing what you are passionate about and do so well. You will be surprised at how it changes your finances once you let go of how it will look like for you.
Have an awesome time creating the right support system for you and your dream!
