Happy Leap Year month everyone! Today is a day of endings and new beginnings. A chance to clear out clutter and chaos in your life, business, office and more. A time to close old chapters and open new ones. This month can be one of crazy huge leaps, or it can be one of ease and grace, looking for the door that is already open to you.
I realized the other day that I have not officially stated that I let go of the business coaching and dove deep into the shamanic transformational work that I am known for. And I never shared why.
I could blame the shift on others. I didn’t learn what I needed. I was burned out. I didn’t feel fulfilled, Or a host of other things.
The truth goes much deeper.
In 2011 I switched from having a purely spiritual “hobby business” while working a job full time. In record time I was earning 6 figures, helping a lot of people, and learning everything I could about being an entrepreneur.
After 2 1/2 years I knew that things needed to shift, but I didn’t want to listen. I had found a way of incorporating my shamanic work with business building that got results. Then things started happening. I had challenges with some clients. My hair was falling out with stress. And my blood pressure went up 20 points. I knew that I wasn’t following my heart.
As I was giving a workshop in the northeast United States in fall of 2014, I was showing entrepreneurs how to step into their destiny, claim their gifts, let go of ancestral contracts holding them back in their business and more.
Out of the blue, I heard a voice say very loudly, “My destiny was taken from me.” It was the energy of a black man who was sold into slavery long ago. The imprint was still there on that land affecting the people living there. As I was doing the workshop, I also was clearing the land. I found out later that the building behind us was where the ships docked and unloaded Africans that were then sold into slavery.
Over the next 18 months, everywhere I went to give workshops, visit, etc. I would get the same things. The energy of the land coming through. Slavery, Nativeamerican betrayals, wars, ancestral patterns, and more. It affected the people living there since they repeated the energy of the history happening. I was doing soul retrievals for people at the same time I was doing it on the land. It was very profound.
You can see why I no longer could be “just a business coach”, and so I quit marketing. I knew this was something bigger. People would find me through referrals, and I got by. I cut my expenses drastically, took over all my emails and sales pages myself, and became self sufficient until I knew it was time for something else. I led small monthly programs called Soul Experiences that became a massive hit with those who took them. I continued to listen to my dreams, the land, and honed my shamanic skills even more.
What I have always done is help people get clear on who they are, and what they want in their life and business/career. I help them create a new reality for themselves that is free of energetic ties that hold them in old patterns. I found that so many people would create a business that wasn’t truly aligned with their bigger souls purpose, and how they wanted to live their life. Myself included.
Do I regret any of the choices I made? No. I knew it served a purpose. I learned what I needed. Most importantly I knew when it was time to move on. And I always took action even though I didn’t know the end result.
I have changed my offerings, pricing and much more to reach a bigger audience and help more people. You will notice shifts to the website as I continue to update it.
Currently I am offering private shamanic sessions (by phone) to help people remove blocks that have them repeating the same story over and over. (email me for questinos at monica@monicakenton.com) To release ties that have kept them bound to old paradigms and old ways of being. To help people recover parts of their soul that have gone missing. And yes, I still deal with money as well. It is a huge factor holding many people back. These are still powerfully transformative sessions like I have offered in the past, but now it is no longer part of a package, and the price has changed.
I do hope that you continue on this journey with me. One thing that I promise you….it will never be boring. And it will always be innovative, new, and powerfully transformational. Life is meant to be lived. We can’t do that with the same energetics and patterns that keep us bound.
You all are the ones who break convention, but with class and authority. In life and business. I thank you for always being here.

I am learning when we break through our old patterns, habits, and even our inner perceptions, our Dharma path begins. The old patterns are our karmic journey which allows us to experience what we need to. The Dharma will come to us. Don’t look for it. This being said, I feel you are ready to embark new beginnings.
